Professional Development Resources:
Training modules and powerpoint presentations are on our website. Conferences include the annual special education statewide conference; the TAASE legal conference; new special education supervisors institute; special education supervisors institute; and transition summit.
Other State Activities:
TN is establishing collaborative efforts between Tennessee Department of Education, Career and Technical Education, Tennessee Board of Regents and College Disability Services Coordinators to host statewide training events. Eight student lessons have been developed to help students w disabilities prepare for college entrance. The 8 lessons are available by emailing jane.winstead@state.tn.us. TN is also participating in the Transition Outcomes Project, including training, materials development, data collection and follow-up.
