State Transition Resources:

The Center for Change in Transition Services, funded by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction provides training, technical assistance and conducts, analyzes and reports post-school data for every LEA in the state with high schools. Webinars, materials, resources, reports and contact information are all available on the CCTS website. CCTS works in partnership with OSPI in developing and distributing training on IEPs for transition age youth. These modules are available on both CCTS and OSPI's websites.

Professional Development Resources:

Modules are available on www.seattleu.edu/ccts both 'live' and archived. These include all the components of transition services, self-studies and evaluations for LEAs to conduct with their colleagues, post-school data collection and training, and information about resources, training, etc. The webinars are offered for clock hours. 

Other State Activities:

WA state is involved in an in-depth study of follow-along, student advocacy, and school dropout with three school districts. the study is following a cohort of students in special education for four years to help determine post-school outcomes and the impact of transition services. District personnel have received training, materials, and technical assistance in gathering data from the IEP and phone interviews and implementing dropout prevention and retrieval strategies.
